ASSYRTIKO Dry White Wine
ASSYRTIKO
Dry White Wine / Newlands Winery
Assyrtiko, the greatest Greek white variety, has found suitable soil in the 'Agropetra' vineyard in Halkidiki. The combination of the altitude, the proximity to the sea, the strictly organic cultivation and the low acre yields with the care of the winery, gives us an excellent 'single vineyard' Assyrtiko, with a crisp, lemony and mineral character.
Refreshing and at the same time 'serious', it is a wine that will take off any dish of fresh seafood and fish. An Assyrtiko that will become even more exciting as it evolves in the bottle.
Vinification
Classic white vinification. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Remaining on the lees for at least 6 months.
Flavor Characteristics
Bright lemon green color. Complex aromas of musk lemon, citrus blossoms and peach on a background of mineral elements. Generous in the mouth with crisp acidity, subtle notes of yeast and a long lemony aftertaste.
